Samples collected 26 & 27/7/09 not analysed for TSS & Oil & Grease concentrations (Monitoring Pt 1). Laboratory reminded that Oil & Grease & TSS are measured for all 3DGM samples. Lab currently developing additional quality assurance checks.

Untreated sewage discharged from a point other than Pt 1 or Pt 3. due to power failure at Primary Pump Station on 17/1/10 causing overflow during electrical storm. Fault rectified. Undertaking program of plant upgrades to improve process reliability.

Secondary pump failue 26/10/09. Approx 2ML of sewage did not receive required treatment before discharge due to bypass of secondary treatment process. This was caused by equipment failure during an upgrade to PLC hardware. Fault rectified.

Secondary Pump Station failed, causing 31.3ML of sewage to bypass secondary treatment on 9/1 & 11.3ML to bypass on 10/1 due to incorrect adjustments. Levels reset & restarted pumps. Additional beach monitoring conducted. Procedures amended.
